SATEVA initially focused on developing geology systems in the areas of exploration, evaluation, and mine geology, and later moved into the development of operational mining systems. Today SATEVA specialises in building IT applications in areas such as exploration, mine geology, grade control, planning, ore tracking, inventory management, reconciliation, and data management.

Case Study - Drilling Program Management System

SATEVA were asked to develop a system to automate the processes of the resource evaluation drilling division at a global iron ore mining company. The new Drilling Program Management system consists of 8 modules which include the financials, contracts, cataloguing, drilling, geophysics, hydrogeology, health and safety, and administration modules. >>

Case Study - Geometallurgical System

One of the earliest systems built by SATEVA was a Geometallurgical System for a global iron-ore mining company. The system allows for the validation and reconciliation of geo-metallurgical predictions based on the drill hole and blast logging performed by geologists. The major components of this system are the validation tool, the reconciliation tool, and the centralised management of geological material types. >>
